FAQ’s
Do you do event makeup?
Sure do! I do event makeup for any occasion, e.g. engagement parties, hens parties, school formals, family photoshoots, birthdays etc.
Where are you located?
For singular bookings, the majority of event makeups are held at my salon space in Caringbah or my home salon in Helensburgh. The location depends on the day of the week, for event makeups Tuesday-Saturday I am in Caringbah and Sunday/Mondays I work from my home salon in Helensburgh. For groups of five or more on Saturdays, I am able to come to you. Likewise, I am able to come to you for group bookings of four or more on weekdays (Let me know if you have a group of less than four for a weekday and we can negotiate arrangements). Otherwise, for single bookings I will be working from either Caringbah or Helensburgh.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes I require a non refundable $30 deposit per person for event makeup bookings.
EVENT FAQ’S
Will you travel to my wedding location?
Yes! I travel all around Sydney, South Coast, Southern Highlands and beyond. However; in peak wedding seasons, travel further than 2.5hrs each way may be limited due to back-to-back weddings Fri-Sun.
Do you have a minimum/maximum person for bridal parties?
I currently travel for groups of five or more on Saturdays. Smaller bridal parties may be considered for weddings on Mon-Thurs or local weddings. I am able to do a maximum of eight people on my own without an assistant. If you have more than eight requiring makeup, I am able to bring an assistant along with me to help with tasks to ensure the day runs efficiently and smoothly. If your bridal party requires an assistant, there will be an assistant fee to cover their time.
Do you do Mother of the Bride/Mother in Law?
Absolutely! I frequently work with Mothers and all ages and skin types. Mother of the Bride/Mother in law are counted in your bridal party numbers.
How long do you need for my bridal party?
I always prefer to have more time than not enough! Nothing worse than rushing, especially on a day as important as your wedding! I allow one hour for brides and 45 minutes for bridesmaids, mothers etc. I allow 30 minutes at the end to do touch ups on the whole bridal party to ensure everyone is looking fresh and flawless before I leave. Lipstick is applied right before I leave so that you are able to eat/drink whilst getting ready with your bridal party and not worrying about lipstick not lasting.
Are there travel fees?
Yes, usually travel fees will apply for certain locations. Anything more than 30 minutes from my house will require a travel fee, this will be quoted to you upon enquiry. Travel fees are in place to cover petrol, tolls and the time spent on the road.
Are trials compulsory?
No, trials are not compulsory but they are highly recommended. I suggest doing a trial about 2-3 months out from your wedding so that by then, you will have chosen your dress, hair style and jewellery, this way you will have an idea of the makeup look you are after. I always recommend bringing some reference photos of makeup looks you like so that it gives me an idea of what makeup you like. Try to avoid heavily edited, unrealistic images. Pricing for a trial will be quoted once you have enquired.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, I require a non-refundable $150 deposit to secure your wedding date. This locks in your wedding date and I will set aside the whole day for your wedding. I unfortunately cannot lock in your date without a deposit due to the demand I receive for dates.
What makeup brands do you use?
I use a wide range of brands as I like variety. My kit is mostly filled with high end brands. Frequently used brands that I love and use regularly are Hourglass, Nars, Dior, Mac, Estee Lauder and Anastasia Beverly Hills. With false lashes, I mostly use individual lashes on all my clients as I find they are the most comfortable and natural looking. I also carry strip lashes in my kit if requested.
Do you give touch up products for the day?
No. Touch up products will be discussed during your trial. I will let you know which lipstick shade I have used and I recommend purchasing one. If your skin is oily, I suggest bringing a touch up powder also, but this will be discussed in your trial. For the bridesmaids, I suggest bringing a lipstick or lipgloss from home that may be similar to what we use. Makeup and lipstick will be touched up before I leave. Makeup is applied with the aim of achieving longevity. I use setting spray and the correct products to ensure this; however, it is just makeup and it is completely normal for makeup to crease, for lipstick to fade when eating/kissing, and oil/sweat to show on a hot day
